Basic Mass Building
Routine
These basic muscle building
exercises below should form the basis of any mass weight gaining workout. I
used this simple routine for the first month of training. For the first
workout I only used the bar without any weights so I could get used to each
movement, it also helped me perform each exercise correctly for the full
range of motion. For the following workouts I did 3 total sets for each
exercise with the first 2 sets working up in weight until I was warm enough
to attempt the last set where the aim was to use a little more weight than
last time.
I always go back to use this
basic routine when I have taken a week or two break from training or if an
injury has caused me to stop training for a few weeks. Even after using a
split routine for months I often go back and use this routine while I
prepare a new advanced workout.
